Refunds and cancellations
Refund and cancellation policy.
Last updated: July 21, 2026
Ridge & Ledger provides bookkeeping and recordkeeping services to Ontario trades and service businesses. This policy applies to the Books Cleanup Roadmap, catch-up cleanup services, and monthly bookkeeping services.
Books Cleanup Roadmap
The Books Cleanup Roadmap costs CAD $295. You may request a full refund before Ridge & Ledger begins reviewing your records.
Once the records review has started, the Roadmap payment is generally non-refundable because the service is customized and work has begun. If Ridge & Ledger cannot deliver the Roadmap within the agreed delivery period, you may request a full refund instead of accepting a revised delivery date.
The Roadmap is a standalone CAD $295 service. Buying it does not require you to start monthly bookkeeping. If you receive the Roadmap and do not start monthly service, you keep the completed Roadmap and the payment is not automatically refunded.
The full net Roadmap payment is available as a monthly-service credit until 11:59 p.m. Toronto time on the date 30 calendar days after actual Roadmap delivery. Monthly service qualifies when the service agreement becomes effective within that window. The credit is non-transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and is applied once against the first monthly invoice.
A full Roadmap refund voids the credit. A partial refund reduces the available credit dollar for dollar, and the credit cannot exceed the net Roadmap payment retained. If no qualifying monthly service starts before expiry, the unused credit expires with no further action required.
The GST/HST treatment of the credit and its Stripe invoice configuration require written confirmation from Ridge & Ledger's qualified tax professional before taxable live billing uses the credit.
If the Roadmap contains a material error or does not substantially match the written scope, contact us within 14 days of delivery. We will correct the issue at no additional charge or, where correction is not reasonably possible, provide an appropriate refund.
Catch-up cleanup services
Catch-up cleanup work is quoted separately after reviewing the records, months involved, transaction volume, and account count.
You may cancel before work begins for a full refund of any prepaid amount. Once cleanup work has started, refunds are assessed based on the work completed and any unused prepaid balance.
If Ridge & Ledger does not complete the agreed cleanup scope within the written delivery period, excluding delays caused by missing access, documents, approvals, or client instructions, you may request completion within a reasonable additional period or a refund for the incomplete portion of the work.
Monthly bookkeeping services
Monthly services are billed in advance according to the written service agreement.
You may cancel future monthly services by giving the notice stated in your agreement. Cancellation stops future billing after the applicable notice period. Charges for a month that has already started are generally non-refundable because time has been reserved and work may already have been performed.
If Ridge & Ledger has not started the agreed monthly services for a paid period, you may request a refund for that unused period.
How to request a refund
Email your request through the contact address shown on your written agreement. Include your name, business name, payment date, amount paid, and reason for the request.
We will acknowledge the request and review it against this policy and the applicable written agreement. Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method. Stripe or the card issuer may require additional processing time before the refund appears on your statement.
Legal rights
This policy does not limit any cancellation, refund, chargeback, or other right that cannot legally be waived under Ontario or Canadian law. If this policy conflicts with applicable law or a mandatory consumer-protection rule, the applicable law governs.
