Bookkeeping and cleanup systems for Ontario small businesses.

Know what is wrong with your books, what to fix first, and what monthly bookkeeping will cost.

For Ontario small businesses using QuickBooks Online, Jobber, spreadsheets, Shopify, Stripe, point-of-sale systems, or a mix of tools. Start with a CAD $295 Books Cleanup Roadmap, credited toward your first month.

  • Standalone written deliverable
  • Ontario-wide remote service
  • Clear bookkeeping boundaries

Start with clarity

Scattered records make every next decision harder.

Unreconciled accounts, missing documents, inconsistent coding, and mixed systems can hide the real cleanup workload. A Roadmap turns those gaps into an ordered plan before recurring work begins.

01

See the gaps

Understand which records, reconciliations, and workflows need attention.

02

Set the order

Know what should be corrected first and what depends on accountant confirmation.

03

Confirm the scope

Receive a recommended monthly scope and provisional price grounded in the records reviewed.

See the deliverable first

A practical document, not a vague promise.

The fictional sample shows how the seven detailed sections of a Roadmap make the four paid deliverables concrete.

View a Sample Roadmap
  1. A review of the last 12 months of records, covering reconciliations, source documents, coding, and supported workflows
  2. An HST records consistency review that identifies unsupported, unmatched, duplicated, missing, or accountant-confirmation items without making tax determinations
  3. A written, prioritized Cleanup Roadmap listing the issues found and the order in which to address them
  4. A 30-minute walkthrough of the findings, cleanup priorities, and recommended ongoing monthly scope

How Ridge & Ledger works

Credibility should come from a clear process.

Experience spans accounting, bookkeeping, auditing, reconciliations, and finance systems. Ridge & Ledger applies that background through a defined intake and records-review process, without publishing private employment history or implying credentials the business does not hold.

Free recordkeeping resource

Check the records behind your HST amounts.

The HST Records Checklist covers ten common support, timing, reconciliation, and coding gaps. It provides general recordkeeping information, not tax advice.

No. Ridge & Ledger handles bookkeeping and recordkeeping. Your CPA or tax professional remains responsible for tax, financial statements, assurance, and advice.

Do you record GST/HST on transactions?

Yes. Ridge & Ledger records GST/HST amounts from source documents using treatment supplied by you or your accountant. Ridge & Ledger does not decide tax treatment, prepare the return, file the return, or provide GST/HST advice.

What software do you support?

The service is designed around QuickBooks Online, Jobber, spreadsheets, and common digital document workflows. Final scope depends on your current setup.

How is my final price determined?

The estimator provides a provisional monthly price or a review-required result. Final pricing is confirmed after the paid Roadmap review and written scope.

What happens to the CAD $295 payment?

The Roadmap is a complete standalone service. Its net payment is also available once as a monthly-service credit until 11:59 p.m. Toronto time on the date 30 calendar days after Roadmap delivery. If monthly service does not start in that window, you keep the Roadmap and the unused credit expires.

Can I buy monthly bookkeeping directly?

No. Start with the Roadmap. Monthly service begins only after the records review confirms fit, scope, and final price.
